About the Invert Image Colours

Each channel is subtracted from 255, which is exactly what a photographic negative is. Inverting twice returns the original.

It is also a quick way to read a scanned film negative or to check a design against a dark background.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your image never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
