About the Round the Corners of an Image

The corners are cut away and left transparent, so the result is saved as a PNG. Saving it as JPEG would fill them with white.

For a web page, CSS border-radius is the better option - it costs nothing and adapts to any size. Baking the corners in is for contexts where CSS is not available, such as an email or a slide.

Questions people ask

Is your image uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your image never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
