About the Trim Transparent Pixels
The image is cropped to the smallest rectangle that contains every non-transparent pixel.
Empty margins make an icon impossible to align reliably, because the visible shape is not where the file boundary is. Two icons that look the same size can sit at completely different scales for this reason.
Raising the threshold slightly also trims away near-invisible fringe pixels left behind by a soft cut-out.
Questions people ask
Is your image uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your image never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
