About the Uppercase Converter
Case conversion follows the Unicode rules built into your browser, so accented letters map correctly and scripts without case, such as Arabic or Chinese, are left untouched.
A few letters expand when uppercased - the German ß becomes SS - which means an uppercased string can be longer than the original. That matters if you are filling a fixed-width field.
