About the YAML to XML Converter
YAML is written for people: comments, no brackets, and indentation instead of punctuation. It is the standard for Kubernetes manifests, CI pipelines and application configuration.
XML carries structure that JSON cannot: attributes alongside content, namespaces, and schema validation. It remains the format for RSS, SOAP, SVG, Office documents and most government data exchange.
The document is parsed into a common structure and written back out as XML, so the result is always syntactically correct even when the input was formatted unusually. It is verbose, and the attribute-or-element distinction has no equivalent in JSON - conversions have to encode attributes with a prefix and pick a key for text content.
Questions people ask
Is your document uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your document never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
