About the Create a ZIP File

Files are compressed with DEFLATE and written into a standard ZIP, which every operating system opens without extra software.

How much you save depends entirely on the contents. Text, CSV, JSON and source code often compress by 70-90%. JPEG, PNG, MP4 and PDF barely move, because their data is already compressed - bundling those is about convenience, not size.

Everything happens in the page: the files are read into memory, compressed, and offered back as a download. Nothing is transmitted.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your file never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
