About the Bulk Image Resizer
Each image is scaled to fit inside the box while keeping its own aspect ratio, and images already smaller than the box are left alone rather than being enlarged.
Every file is processed on your device in turn. Thirty large photographs will take a few seconds and will not touch a server.
Questions people ask
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your own browser using the canvas API. You can watch the network panel while it runs, or disconnect from the internet after the page loads - the tool keeps working.
Why is there a limit of 30 files?
Each image is decoded into memory to be processed. Thirty is a comfortable ceiling on ordinary hardware; beyond that a browser tab starts to struggle, so the limit is there to stop the page freezing.
Is your image uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your image never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
