About the Image Difference Viewer
Pixels that differ by more than the threshold are marked in red over a faded version of the first image, so the changes are obvious in context.
The threshold matters: two JPEGs saved from the same source at different quality settings differ in almost every pixel by a small amount. Raising the threshold filters out that compression noise and leaves real changes.
Both images must have the same dimensions, since the comparison is pixel by pixel.
Questions people ask
Is your image uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your image never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
