About the Remove Emojis
Composed emoji - a person plus a skin tone, or a family built from several figures joined with zero-width joiners - are removed as a whole, leaving no orphaned fragments behind.
Emoji are frequently rejected by SMS gateways, legacy databases on non-UTF8 collations, and print systems, which is why stripping them is often a required cleanup step.
