About the Text Cleaner
Text copied out of a PDF, a spreadsheet or a web page carries invisible passengers: zero-width characters, non-breaking spaces, a leading byte order mark, and control codes that break CSV imports and database inserts.
Unicode normalisation is worth enabling when text will be compared or used as a key. The letter "é" can be stored either as one code point or as "e" plus a combining accent; they look identical and are not equal until normalised.

Is your text uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your text never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
