About the Remove Extra Spaces
Runs of two or more spaces or tabs inside a line become a single space, and leading and trailing whitespace on each line is removed. Line breaks are preserved, so the shape of the text survives.
This is the standard fix for text copied out of a PDF or a slide deck, where words are often separated by several spaces used for layout rather than a real space.
Questions people ask
Is your text uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your text never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
