About the Word Frequency Viewer
Frequency analysis answers two different questions. For writing, it shows unintentional repetition. For SEO, it shows whether the page actually uses the vocabulary a reader would expect around the topic.
Treat keyword density as a diagnostic, not a target. There is no density that search engines reward; repeating a phrase to hit a percentage is the exact pattern that gets pages filtered out.
The stop word list covers the usual English function words. Turn it off if you are analysing dialogue or studying style, where those words carry the signal.
Questions people ask
Is your text uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your text never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
