About the JSON to INI Converter
JSON is the default interchange format of the web: every language parses it, it has exactly six types, and there is only one way to write a given document.
INI is the simplest configuration format there is: sections, keys and values, understood by almost every language and readable by anyone.
The document is parsed into a common structure and written back out as INI, so the result is always syntactically correct even when the input was formatted unusually. It has no standard at all. Nesting, types, escaping and duplicate handling differ between parsers, so an INI file is only portable within the tooling it was written for.
Questions people ask
Is your document uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your document never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
