About the YAML Key Sorter

Sorting both sides of a comparison removes ordering noise from a diff. It also makes a long configuration file easier to search by eye.

Comments do not survive, since the document is parsed into data and re-emitted.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your document never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
