About the Extract the Green Channel

Every pixel is replaced by its green value repeated across all three channels, which renders that channel as a greyscale image.

Channel separation is used in print preparation, in forensics to spot edits that affected one channel, and in photography - the red channel often holds the cleanest skin tones, the green channel the most detail.
