Remove Duplicate CSV Rows
Delete repeated rows from a CSV, comparing whole rows or just the columns you name.
Your result will appear here as soon as you add some input.
How to use it
- 1Paste your CSV, or open the file in a text editor and copy it in.
- 2Adjust the delimiter and header options if the preview looks wrong.
- 3Adjust the options if you need something other than the defaults.
- 4Download the result, or copy it straight back into your spreadsheet.
Example
Input
3 rows with one repeated
Output
2 rows, 1 duplicate removed
About the Remove Duplicate CSV Rows
The first occurrence of each row is kept and later copies removed, so the original order survives. That matters when the file is a log or an export where sequence carries meaning.
Comparing on a subset of columns is what you usually want for contact data: two rows with the same email address are duplicates even if one has a middle name and the other does not.
Turning off case sensitivity treats Ada@example.com and ada@example.com as the same. That is right for email addresses and wrong for anything case-significant.
Questions people ask
Is your data uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your data never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
