About the Markdown to HTML Converter

GitHub Flavored Markdown is supported, so tables, task lists, strikethrough and fenced code blocks all convert correctly.

The generated HTML is passed through DOMPurify before you see it. That matters if the Markdown came from somewhere else: Markdown allows raw HTML, so an untrusted document can carry a script tag straight through a naive converter.

The line break option is the single most common difference between Markdown implementations. GitHub comments break on a single newline; the original specification does not.

Questions people ask

Is your text uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your text never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
