About the Midpoint Calculator
The midpoint is the average of the two x coordinates paired with the average of the two y coordinates. No square root is involved, because you are finding a position rather than measuring a length.
It is also the centre of the circle that has the segment as its diameter, which is how the formula turns up in circle geometry problems.
