About the Meta Tag Generator
Title and description lengths are checked against what search results actually display - roughly 60 and 155 characters. Going over does not hurt rankings, but the end gets cut off, so the call to action should come first.
The canonical link matters more than any other tag here: it tells search engines which URL is the real one when the same page is reachable with tracking parameters, a trailing slash, or on several domains.
A preview image should be about 1200 × 630. Without one, a shared link is a plain text card that gets far fewer clicks.
Questions people ask
Is your code uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your code never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and there is no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. The project is funded by optional donations.
