About the Random String Generator

Characters are drawn from the platform’s cryptographic random generator, and draws that would bias the distribution are rejected rather than folded with a modulo - which is the subtle bug in most hand-written generators.

The reported entropy is length × log2(alphabet size). For a value that must resist guessing, 128 bits is the usual target.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your code never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
