About the Hex to File

Separators, 0x prefixes and line breaks are all ignored, so hex copied from almost any tool works. The digit count must be even - one pair per byte.

The resulting bytes are checked against known file signatures so the download gets a sensible name and type.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your file never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
