  • Box: V = l x w x h
  • Sphere: V = (4/3) x pi x r^3
  • Cylinder: V = pi x r^2 x h
  • Cone: V = (1/3) x pi x r^2 x h

About the Volume Calculator

A cone is exactly one third of the cylinder with the same base and height, which is the relationship worth remembering rather than the formula itself.

The litre figure assumes the measurements are in centimetres, since a cubic centimetre is one millilitre. Use the volume converter if your measurements are in other units.
