About the Screen Resolution Viewer
The resolution is reported in CSS pixels, which is not the same as the physical pixels on the panel. A phone that reports 390 by 844 usually has a display of 1170 by 2532 - the device pixel ratio is the multiplier between them.
The available area excludes space taken by system furniture such as a taskbar or dock, which is why it is often slightly smaller than the full screen.
