About the Discount Calculator
Stacked discounts multiply, they do not add. "30% off, then an extra 20% off" is a 44% total discount, not 50% - the second reduction is taken from the already reduced price.
The effective discount is shown for exactly that reason: it is the single percentage that would produce the same final price.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using standard web APIs, so your figures never leaves your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel while the tool runs, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
