About the Margin and Markup Calculator
Margin and markup describe the same profit against different denominators. Margin divides by the selling price, markup by the cost. A 50% markup is a 33.3% margin, and treating them as interchangeable quietly destroys a pricing model.
Margin can never reach 100%, because the profit is always less than the price. Markup has no upper limit.
