About the Percentage Calculator
A percentage is a fraction with 100 on the bottom, so every percentage question is one of three divisions. Naming which of the three you are doing is most of the work - the arithmetic is trivial once the question is stated properly.
The increase and decrease modes multiply by a factor rather than adding and subtracting, which is what makes chained changes come out right. Increasing by 10% is multiplying by 1.1, not adding 10.
